Ohmyhome holds webinars on personal finance

A personal finance expert once said managing one’s funds is like brushing one’s teeth. No one else will do it for you. The ongoing global health crisis and the economic shock has moved people to rethink how they’ll go about growing their money. One thing that the pandemic has provoked especially among young adult is how to hang on to their cash in the midst of uncertain times and while Covid-19 vaccines have yet to be accessible to the public.

Property platform Ohmyhome unites with the healing country by advancing its mission of helping communitie­s thrive in the pandemic through a webinar series called OhTalks. The third episode is set today, 27 February at 3 p.m. via Facebook live. Timely subjects like financial literacy, real estate, entreprene­urship and technology will be tackled by company co-founders Race and Rhonda Wong who explained that the talks hope to help viewers “take charge of their financial futures.”

The third installati­on, titled “Personal Finances: Your Day-to-Day Expenses That Could Have Turned to Savings,” will focus on how daily spending habits can influence one’s financial security. Industry experts Edessa Montano, Senior Associate Sales Director of SM Developmen­t Corporatio­n, and Mark Emmanuel Canlas, department head in the Bank of the Philippine Islands are the guest speakers.

Edessa Montano is a housing investment expert who has been in the real estate industry since 2004. A PRC-licensed real estate broker, Montano has worked with top real estate developers for the past six years. She began her career in internatio­nal property sales in 2006, serving expat Filipinos and OFW for 15 years and counting.
