The alleged killer of policemen, their assets and drug pushers who could not remit on time money owed for shabu was arrested by operatives in a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City yesterday morning.

In the report of P/Maj. Deo Cabildo, Caloocan City Police-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) chief, personnel of the said station conducted the operation near the suspect’s house in a long and narrow alley in Marulas B, Barangay 36 at around 3 a.m.

Target of the operation was identified as Rogelio Macalansag, alias Bossing, 46, and a tricycle driver.

The operatives had a hard time making the suspect bite their bait. They guessed he wanted to make sure it wasn’t a buy-bust operation.

That’s why when Macalansag met with the poseur buyers, he asked them to enter the long and narrow alley near his house where he exchanged the shabu for the marked money. It was then that he was arrested.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were a caliber .9mm Shooters Sub-machine gun loaded with four pieces of live caliber .9mm ammunition, a small caliber .9mm revolver and 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P102,000.

It was discovered that Macalansag and his siblings allegedly have been involved in illegal drug trafficking for a long period of time.

In fact, the suspect also has a brother detained in Muntinlupa City in a drug-related case. The suspect is also said to be a hired killer.

He is currently in the custody of the Caloocan DEU detention facility and is facing corresponding charges.
