Victoria aims to be an economic zone
The local government unit (LGU) of Victoris in Tarlac is eyeing the establishment of an economic zone, which aims to provide job opportunities to Tarlaqueños.
According to Victoria mayor Christian Yap, the proposal to establish an economic zone in the town will provide much needed investments and employment.
He added that the initiative of the LGU is to establish productivity centers along with the economic zone.

According to him, the establishment of the economic zone and productivity warehouses will entice more companies to invest in the town.
He added that if more companies will invest in Victoria, these will definitely provide job opportunities to thousands of local residents.
The LGU is already processing the necessary requirements for the establishment of these infrastructure, citing that they have already submitted to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority the proposed areas where they will construct the economic zone.
Considered as a second-class municipality in the province of Tarlac, Victoria has a population of almost 70,000 people.
The town is located between Tarlac City, and the towns of Pura, Gerona, La Paz and the province of Nueva Ecija.
Victoria has a total land area of 11,150 hectares, of which a large portion is used for agricultural purposes.
