Baguio mechanic nabbed for drugs
BAGUIO CITY — A mechanic who is considered to be a high value individual (HVI) by anti-illegal drugs authorities was arrested in a sting operation in the evening of 11 April at the Loakan Proper here.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jumar Derpo Mayos, a resident of Bakbakan, Asin Road, who yielded five sachets of suspected shabu and weighing five grams with an estimated worth of P34,000.
Also recovered from the suspect is the marked money used by the undercover member of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) here.
According to the PDEA Baguio, Mayos was the subject of the surveillance for months as it was also believed that the suspect is also a drug supplier in the city.
Mayos will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
