Call center agent nabbed for illegal drugs

STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija — A sting operation conducted by the Nueva Ecija police led to the arrest of a call center agent who yielded P2.4-million worth of illegal drugs.

Initial reports from Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) director Police Col. Jaime Santos revealed that joint operatives from the Cabanatuan City Police Station and Sto. Domingo MPS conducted a buy-bust operation in Batisan Street, Barangay Aduas Norte in Cabanatuan City early Sunday morning.

The suspect was identified as Sheryl Santos, a call center agent and resident of Barangay Hulo, Sto. Domingo.

Recovered from the suspect were three knot tied transparen­t plastic packs containing suspected shabu, 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparen­t plastic sachets of suspected shabu including the subject of sale weighing approximat­ely 345 grams and estimated street value of more or less P2,346,000, two P500 bills marked money and two pieces digital weighing scales.

Santos is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165.
