Jeremiah Lisbo on being the ‘third wheel’
When young actor Jeremiah Lisbo likes someone, he pursues the person assiduously.
In a media conference, the 21-year-old actor said it’s one of the things he and his character in Wattpad hit-turned-series He’s Into Her both share.
In the series, Lisbo plays Randall Echavez, captain of the Southbay Sharks basketball team, coincidentally, Max’s (Belle Mariano) ex-boyfriend who is worming his way back into her life. He faces Deib (Donny Pangilinan), who is his rival both as the captain of Benison Bears and in Max’s heart.
“Randall and I are very similar,” he said. “If I really like the person, no matter how much I fail and stumble, I’d still pursue the girl. If I really like someone, I’ll always try my best.”
In the series, Lisbo plays Randall Echavez, captain of the Southbay Sharks basketball team, coincidentally, Max’s (Belle Mariano) ex-boyfriend who is worming his way back into her life.
However, it’s not the only thing that Lisbo shares with his character. Both are born leaders and have a competitive nature.
In an interview with News ‘To Ko ‘Yan, he said that like Randall, his dream before was to become a professional basketball player.
But God has a different plan for him, he said, and one of it is coming in between Max and Deib in He’s Into Her as the “third wheel.”
When asked about how he maintains the kilig (thrill) factor between Bell and him, he said it’s a challenge having to keep up with Donny and Belle’s chemistry since they’re already “solid,” and so are their fans. Lisbo and Belle already starred together in Four Sisters Before the Wedding. “There’s also the pressure for me,” he added.
The much-anticipated finale of He’s Into Her will air on 28 July at iWantTFC and on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and Kapamilya Online Live via the YouTube channel and Facebook page of ABS-CBN Entertainment. There is also an online concert dubbed as the “He’s Into Her: The Bennison Ball” happening on 6 August.
