Moreno sees retirement after presidency

Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratik­o presidenti­al bet Isko Moreno had hinted of retirement from politics after he serves the highest post should he win the presidenti­al race next year.

Speaking at a mammoth crowd at Trinitas College Meycauyan, Bulacan, Domagoso said that after serving half of his life as public servant, he will devote his time with his family whom he had set aside for quite a long time.

“I’ve been working in the government half of my life, I’ve been involved in public service. Just in case I luckily win, at the age of 52 after my term as president, I can already rest. I can already pay what I owe my family in terms of time,” he said.

He added that he started working at the age of 10 as a scavenger, then side car boy, actor, councilor, vice mayor, then cabinet post and now mayor.

“I’ve considered the people as family to serve and take care of. And I think I’ve served them well to the best of my availabili­ty as a public servant,” he said.

In the vent that he loses, Domagoso said that just the same, he will spend his time with his family.

Domagoso, on Friday morning visited the Meycauyan peoples market where he was given a warm welcome, as market goers obliged him with a selfie shot every step of the way.

He was accompanie­d by his local Maycauyan leaders headed by Aksyon Demokratik­o local bet for mayor Elmer Paguio and his team.

Meanwhile , Domagoso vowed to build on the gains of the Duterte administra­tion and will continue projects that are beneficial to the people should he be elected president in 2022.

He said he would also embark on his own Build, Build, Build program to build more hospitals, more housing, more public-school buildings, more business, and more jobs. Similar to that in Manila, he said the school buildings, housing and hospitals would all be modernized.

I’ve considered the people as family to serve and take care of. And I think I’ve served them well to the best of my availabili­ty as a public servant.
