Marikina tech college going F2F soon
The mayor said they created a technical working group tasked to retrofit the classrooms and other school facilities to ensure better ventilation
A public higher education institution in Marikina City has been given the go-signal to hold in-person classes amid the lingering Covid-19 pandemic, Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro disclosed over the weekend.
Teodoro said he hosted a meeting to push for collaboration among the Marikina State Polytechnic College, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, the local government of Marikina City and the Commission on Higher Education.
He said the local government proposed to get engineering administrative control so that the Marikina State Polytechnic College (MSPC) may be able to conduct limited face-to-face classes.
The mayor said they created a technical working group tasked to retrofit the classrooms and other school facilities to ensure better ventilation.
“Based on our talks, within two or three, we will include them in the limited faceto-face classes,” Teodoro said in Filipino, referring to the students of the MSPC.
