Nueva Ecija nearing jab target

A total 173,445 individuals were vaccinated in Nueva Ecija during the national vaccination days, according to the local Department of Health (DoH) unit in Cabanatuan.

DoH management officer IV Jose Espinosa tagged a success the three-day vaccination activity at 163 inoculation centers in the province.

He said that due to the program, Novo Ecijanos from far-flung areas were able to get the vaccine as the mass vaccination saw various government agencies, both national and local, uniting to administer the vaccine.

Nueva Ecija is nearing its herd immunity target as 957,048 or 61.84 percent of the population have already received their first dose, with 685,562 or 40.82 percent now fully vaccinated.

The target is to vaccinate 1.6 million Novo Ecijanos.

Local government agencies are still conducting their usual vaccination drive after the national vaccination drive, with residents needing only to contact their local government offices to be scheduled for vaccination.
