A total of 1,299 Aeta residents were vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) through a series of inoculation activities organized by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC).

CDC president Manuel Gaerlan said the indigenous people from Sitio Monicayo in Barangay Calumpang, Barangay Marcos Village and Barangay Macapagal Village in Mabalacat City were given their respective first doses.

Vaccines were also administered to workers and residents in the freeport and surrounding communities as part of the three-day national vaccination campaign of the government that ended on 1 December.

The vaccination activities were organized by the CDC with the Mabalacat City local government unit.

Clark head physician Jenna de Leon Sison and Dr. Justine Flavier led the vaccination for the Aetas. They were assisted by nurses Jonalyn Garcia, Mae Daes, Darwin Garcia, Paul Siasico and Ricky Manaloto.

Kagawad Ruby Queddeng and other barangay officials also backed the CDC drive at the Aeta communities nearby.

The CDC team will also conduct pediatric vaccination at Barangay Macapagal Village on 7 December 7 to immunize more children vulnerable to Covid-19.
