Bataan virus active cases decrease
BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The number of active cases for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the province has gone down to 89 cases even as the massive vaccinations are being still implemented by the province and the municipalities.

Bakunahan’ aims to encourage unvaccinated individuals to get their shots to protect themselves from Covid-19 and achieve herd immunity.
Bataan Governor Abet Garcia said that the figures were the latest submitted to him by local health authorities as he urged Bataeños not to be complacent and always exercise health protocols such as using masks, observe physical distancing.
Meantime, a total of 65,647 individuals received their jabs during the National Vaccination Days in Bataan from 29 November to 1 December.
“I am pleased to announce that Bataan is the leading province in Central Luzon with the highest number of individuals inoculated per day since 29 November,” Garcia said, adding that the numbers include those who received their first and second dose and booster shots in the 29 vaccination sites and mobile vaccination or “Vax on Wheels” in the province.
As an incentive to those who received their vaccines during the three-day event, the provincial government launched the sa Bakunadong Bataeño” wherein each vaccine recipient got five kilograms of rice.
