Bakunahan’ aims to encourage unvaccinated individuals to get their shots to protect themselves from Covid-19 and achieve herd immunity.

Bataan Governor Abet Garcia said that the figures were the latest submitted to him by local health authorities as he urged Bataeños not to be complacent and always exercise health protocols such as using masks, observe physical distancing.

Meantime, a total of 65,647 individuals received their jabs during the National Vaccination Days in Bataan from 29 November to 1 December.

“I am pleased to announce that Bataan is the leading province in Central Luzon with the highest number of individuals inoculated per day since 29 November,” Garcia said, adding that the numbers include those who received their first and second dose and booster shots in the 29 vaccination sites and mobile vaccination or “Vax on Wheels” in the province.

As an incentive to those who received their vaccines during the three-day event, the provincial government launched the sa Bakunadong Bataeño” wherein each vaccine recipient got five kilograms of rice.
