Bianca, Dottie back in action

Filipino-Japanese Yuka Saso is skipping the tournament after not making the weekend in the US Women’s Open.

Bianca Pagdangana­n and Dottie Ardina return to action at the Shoprite LPGA Classic that kicks off at the Seaview Baycourse in Galloway, New Jersey Friday.

The 24-year-old Pagdangana­n is coming off a gutsy performanc­e at the US Women’s Open Championsh­ip where she made the cut last week.

She will tee off in the afternoon at 12:48 p.m. in the company of Allison Emrey and Pernilla Lindberg at hole No. 1.

Ardina, on the other hand, starts on the back nine at 1:59 p.m. alongside Jennifer Chang and Ssu-Chia Cheng.

The 28-year-old veteran is hoping to bounce back from a missed cut last week.

Karrie Webb, a seven-time major champion, is making a rare appearance this week.

Webb has never missed a cut at the New Jersey staple event and won the tournament back in 2013.

“I’ve played a lot,” she said. “I know how to play this course in the wind, so I hope it’s windy for the three days that we play.”

The last time Webb played on the tour was back in January during the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio.

The Epson Tour is also resuming hostilitie­s with three Filipinas seeing action at the Carolina Golf Classic in Kinston, North Carolina Friday.

Pauline del Rosario starts on the first hole at 12:42 p.m. with Carley Cox and Chanoknan Angurasara­nee while Abby Arevalo gets an early tee time at 8:58 a.m. alongside Pinyada Kuvanun and Ginger Howard.

Veteran Clariss Guce, on the other hand, is paired with Min-G Kim and Jaravee Boonchant at 8:14 a.m. on the first hole.
