Maggie Wilson gets TRO vs ex-husband
Beauty queen and actress Maggie Wilson has been granted a 72-hour temporary restraining order (TRO) against her ex-husband Victor Consunji by the Office of the Executive Judge of the Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 267.
In the order issued by Executive Judge Antonio Olivete, Consunji, the Victor Consunji Development Corp., Bernabe Alejandro Mendoza, Rommel Reyes and all persons acting on their behalf were prevented from “continuing with their illegal and unauthorized activities, causing grave and substantial damage and prejudice to plaintiff, her family and her household staff.”
“The attempt of the defendants to forcible evict petitioner Margaret N. Wilson from the rented property does not sit well with the court as there are existing remedies that are available to the defendants under the law,” it explained.
However, Olivete also directed Wilson to post a bond worth P500,000 to answer for all damages which the defendants may sustain.
“The attempt of the defendants in padlocking the property was unsuccessful after Petitioner Margaret N. Wilson reminded them about the existing lease contract over the property. The victory of petitioner Margaret N. Wilson, however, was short-lived when defendants were able to successfully cut off the electricity in the property several hours after leaving…,” the order stated.
“Since it cannot be denied that a valid lease contract is existing and subsisting between the petitioner and the defendants, the lease contract should be respected by the parties…,” it added.
