It’s been a misconception that only home owners can avail themselves of insurance. But truth be told, even rented homes can get non-life insurance especially since protecting one’s dwelling space is important for all.
On the other hand, some home insurance products cover only accidents involving fire, inclusive only of the damaged area and not the destroyed belongings.
Most home renters, on the other hand, ignore getting an insurance at all and assume that their landlords have most likely insured the property already.

For those who are renting their home, this product also covers rent and relocation expenses for tenants. Home Security also has a one-time reimbursement of up to P5,000 until 31 December for cleaning and sanitation services if a family member tests positive for Covid-19.
Policy holders are also protected by the personal accident insurance component, in case of accidental death or permanent disablement. This benefit applies to the policyholder’s spouse and up to three children, or to their parents and siblings if they are single. It also covers medical reimbursement if injured by accident, as well as burial assistance. The insurance also extends to the household help, providing coverage for personal accident and property damage of up to three of your household helpers.
The insurance package also makes sure that in the event of lawsuits against the home owner, tenant or household within the premises of the property, the personal liability benefit of Home Security pays for any claims and incurred legal expenses to defend you from liabilities and medical expenses.
