The Aurora Borealis became an inspiration for hanging in there. A reminder to all those struggling that a bedroom isn’t just meant to be a sanctuary but also a place for therapy.

Aurora Borealis-inspired light sparks attention on mid-year room designs, exhibiting innovative electrical technology that hails the Northern Lights visible in countries like Iceland, Norway and Canada.

The Northern Lights are known for their atmospheric phenomenon, which is regarded as the Holy Grail of sky watching. A beautiful dancing wave of light that has captivated people for millennia. But this spectacular light show is a rather violent occurrence for all its beauty. But to some people who are eager to witness the phenomenon, this symbolizes a dazzling and colorful night to remember.

The idea behind this trend started when people chose white or light colors for their bedrooms for that airy, peaceful and calm vibe. We often rely on tranquil colors to promote easy sleep habits.

In a Facebook public group called Home Buddies, a community created for Filipinos to be a safe space for home enthusiasts, netizens shared their experiences on how bedroom lights and accent walls helped them overcome anxiety and personal struggles. Some expressed that they wanted their rooms dark. But a simple change brought by the Aurora Borealis-inspired light lamp projector was found to enhance the healing process.

The Aurora Borealis became an inspiration for “hanging in there.” A reminder to all those struggling that a bedroom isn’t just meant to be a sanctuary but also a place for therapy.

In the new normal, bedrooms are more than just places to sleep — they are also places to work, read and spend family time.

Los Angeles-based interior designer Jamie Bush explained that “the key is creating flexibility, and the ability to control light levels, so if someone wants to sleep and someone wants to work, you can accommodate that. Instead of one big overhead light, use different lighting in each area. At a desk, use task lights as well as a couple of overhead pins to illuminate the whole space; that way, you have options.”
