Jeanelle Castro is a Filipino food content creator who has more than 750,000 subscribers and has accumulated almost 613 million views on YouTube. She started posting videos on the platform five years ago. Since then, she has gradually amassed a following of people who share a common trait with her, that of being food lovers.

Her videos feature Filipino dishes that she herself prepares using her own recipes or those of her family. She also reviews café, hotel, restaurant and stall foods, among others. Whenever she goes on flights, Castro frequently talks about the foods the airlines served or that she has specially packed for the journey. She also highlights the foods of other countries that she has been able to visit in her travels.

Castro started her channel as a means to share the food she loves, specifically the Filipino varieties. Her goal is to show similarities among cultures through the food they create and eat. Moreover, she aims for COFFEE Scones with

the mainstream media. She used to be a product marketing manager until she quit her job to pursue her passion. Due to this, she has an understanding of how she can better rank on YouTube, present her videos and generate engagement from her audience.

However, it has not always been easy for her. YouTube is a huge platform, and a lot of content creators before her have been doing the same thing she does and for much longer. There are times that the number of her subscribers is stagnant. But there are also times that a video kicks off and receives a lot of interaction. This is what keeps her uploading because there are individuals who can relate to a video or are interested in the content she releases to the public.

Castro has established her identity as a Filipino. Her family has kept their Filipino culture intact even when they have been on foreign soil, which has eventually served as their home. They immigrated to the United States when she was eight years old.

You can follow Jeanelle on her other social media accounts, such as Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. She also has her own website, Jeanelleats, where she posts her recipes and more.
