Japonesa vow serving lunch

-

after receiving multiple requests to cater to the daytime market, Japonesa finally opens during lunch time. The Japanese-Peruvian themed restaurant is the third establishment to be opened by notorious concepts within the bustling area of Poblacion, on Jacobo street, in Makati city.

The restaurant was born when notorious concepts chief executive officer James Thomas

and luis Higa, a Japanese who lived in Peru for nearly half of his life and who is now the head chef of Japonesa, met.

Japonesa was soft-launched last april and has been making waves in the local market as one of the must-try restaurants in the metro. Food enthusiasts and diners have been raving about the delicious food items that Japonesa offers including the restaurant’s signature roll called the la Japonesa and other specialty dishes such as the Lengua Katsu, Lomo Saltado, Tapas, Tiraditos and Ceviches.

For the day drinkers, Japonesa’s cocktails are a must-try such as crowd favorites the Watermelon Tub, the Seven-spirit Hokage, the instagrammable Sakura cocktail, and classic cocktails such as the best-selling Amaretto Sour, Cosmopolitan and daiquiri, to name a few.

Japonesa, Notorious Concepts’ newest restaurant in Poblacion, Makati, expands its operational hours and is now open everyday starting 11 a.m.

since its soft-opening last april, Japonesa has added new interior details to add to the overall ambiance. one of these is the 14-seater table, custom-made for the restaurant’s main dining room. The look of this table was inspired by Japanese art of kintsugi, which is the technique of repairing broken pottery with resin and gold. The solid wooden slab has gold resin spidering throughout the “cracked” surface which gives a luxuriously sleek look that one does not see everyday. This table was made to look opulent because it is meant to be the main attraction for those who wish to host celebrations, parties, and even simple gatherings with family and friends.

Japonesa is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. from sunday to Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and saturdays. all guests are encouraged to make a reservation before coming to the restaurant. Walkins are welcome but will be subject to table availability. Reservations can be made by messaging their official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ japonesapoblacion) or instagram page (@japonesapoblacion).
