CATALYST OF MERALCO’S INFO DRIVE
MANILA ELECTRIC COMPANY SALUTES THE MEN AND WOMEN OF DAILY TRIBUNE HEADED BY AMBASSADOR WILLIE FERNANDEZ FOR A PUBLICATION THAT THE PUBLIC CAN TRUST, ZALDARRIAGA SAID.
Apart from delivering fresh news, the Daily Tribune has been a darling for major advertisers as the 22-year-old publication has been delivering what advertisers are craving.
One such company which has consistently channeled critical information to its customers and the public, in general, is Metro Manila power distributor Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
Meralco vice president Joe Zaldarriaga described the Tribune as a steady partner since 2019, or a year after Concept and Information Group led by its President Willie Fernandez acquired the paper in June 2018.
“Daily Tribune has been a large part of Meralco’s information, education, and communications efforts. With its quality and impactful content, it has helped us successfully communicate our programs and advocacies that benefit not just our customers but the public and the country as well,” Zaldarriaga said.
He added that the Tribune delivers content that keeps Meralco and its c-suites abreast of current issues both local and international.
“But it’s not just a media platform. Over the years, it has become a strong partner in our programs and advocacies. Daily Tribune has been there to help us in our strategic drive to reach our audience,” he said.
Zaldarriaga said Meralco intends to remain a partner of Daily Tribune.
“Now more than ever, the role of the media has become more important not only to provide information but also to fight misinformation. We salute the men and women of Daily Tribune, headed by my friend, Ambassador Willie Fernandez, who work together to make the publication an institution that the public can trust,” the Meralco executive declared.
“We will continue to partner with the Daily Tribune in contributing to the government’s push toward a united, stronger, and more resilient country in the years to come.”
