Sadain is PICE prexy

Department of Public Works and Highways announced on Sunday that its senior undersecretary — Emil Sadain — is now the National President of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers for 2024.

Sadain was elected during the 2023-2024 PICE National Board of Directors executive session at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City. He succeeded PICE 2023 national president and Conventions Committee chair Engineer April Frances Agatha Flores.

Flores, in turn, will be succeeding outgoing PICE president and DPWH National Capital Region director Ador Canlas.

PICE is a professional organization representing civil engineers in the public and private sector, with an aim to institutionalize the profession and protect the welfare of members as “a dynamic force in nation building.”

His election coincided with the 48th National Convention and Technical Conference which was also organized by PICE and was attended by nearly 5,000 on-site and online participants.
