CHR celebrates World Kindness Day
The Commission of Human Rights joined in the celebration of World Kindness Day as it heightened bullying awareness — a prevalent problem that impacts the mental health of children.
The CHR said that bullying should be addressed properly and children should learn to be kind to everyone — even to those different from them — and to stand up to bullying.
It added that being kind is intrinsically connected with being humane and with recognizing the dignity that is inherent in each one of us, regardless of external differences.
“Kindness affirms our common humanity amid diversity, and we celebrate World Kindness Day to heighten awareness on the importance of this virtue in affirming our humanity and equal dignity,” the CHR said.
