It’s been going all too well for Taylor Swift.
The pop superstar — whose latest album Midnights has sold over a million equivalent album units, including over 500,000 vinyl copies — took home four trophies at the 2022 MTV European Music Awards including Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop, and Best Longform Video for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).”
Nicki Minaj won Best Hip Hop and Best Song (“Super Freaky Girl”). Harry Styles, who earned seven nominations, bagged only one, Best Live Performance.
Rita Ora, who was program host, was given the Best Look “Personal Style,” while Sam Smith snagged the Video for Good for the song “Unholy” featuring Kim Petras.
Tomorrow X Together got the Best Asia Act while the new category Best Metaverse Performance went to Blackpink for its in-game virtual concert with PUBG Mobile.

The 2022 MTV EMAs, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, had filmmaker Taika Waititi as co-host.
Its Generation Change Award honored Ukrainian women Lina Deshvar, Anna Kutova and Anfisa Yakovina who are fighting for the care and rights of people affected by the humanitarian crisis in the Ukraine-Russia war.
The show featured a performance by Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra.
