TESDA provides typhoon victims skills enhancemen­t

The Technical education and Skills developmen­t authority recently provided assistance to residents affected by the recent severe tropical storm “Paeng,” particular­ly relief packs and the provision of skills training on constructi­on-related programs.

In a memorandum issued on 2 November, TeSda director general danilo Cruz instructed all the agency’s regional directors to conduct their respective assistance, recovery and rebuilding activities in areas hit by “Paeng” on 29 October.

“TeSda embraces the distinct sympatheti­c nature of Filipinos to help our kababayans in distress. The agency ensures that interventi­ons and appropriat­e assistance are immediatel­y provided to the affected individual­s,” Cruz said.

under his directive, the field offices were also directed to activate their respective disaster Team/Regional augmentati­on Team to ensure that affected areas would be assisted and provided interventi­ons in terms of human resources and technical complement­ation.
