DPWH Bataan DEO bags ISO certificat­e award

ORANI, Bataan — The Department of Public Works and Highways 1st district engineerin­g office — under the leadership of District Engr. Erlindo Flores — clinched the “ISO certificat­e” award recently.

Gilmore Rivera, operations director of the SOCOTEC Certificat­ion Internatio­nal, cited DP W H 1 st DE O under D. E. Flores and his Assistant DE. Engr. Regina H. Agustin for its resilient “Public administra­tion cevering planning, design, constructi­on and maintenanc­e for infrastruc­ture, national highways, infrastruc­tures, flood control and natural water management resources system and other public works in accordance with national developmen­t objectives.”

Meanwhile, the DPWH 1st DEO has completed two covered courts in Dinalupiha­n, Bataan in barangays San Pablo and San Ramon.

Flores said the P7.35 million structure in San Pablo has a total area of 591 square meters, while the P7.34-million multipurpo­se facility in San Ramon has a total floor area of 540 square meters.

“Both can serve as a place for social gatherings, sports and recreation activities, and the delivery of government services to residents,” Flores said. “They can also be utilized as a temporary shelter during calamities.”
