Bakeshop robber falls

A call center agent ended up in jail after he panicked and left his bag containing his identification cards at the establishment he robbed in Valenzuela City on Monday.

The suspect — identified as Gene Lucero — was arrested at his house along Cristobal Street, Barangay Karuhatan, the address on his ID that he left behind, and will face the charge of robbery with threat and intimidation.

It was learned that the police responded to Goldilocks Bakeshop, in Barangay Karuhatan, at around 3:30 p.m. after the establishment’s staff called the police for help.

Using a knife, the suspect declared holdup and threatened the female crew, identified as Warren Jean Figueroa as he looted the store’s cash box with only P4,000 to P5,000 inside.
