DND prioritizes cyber security threats resolution
The Department of National Defense is keen to resolve issues related to emerging cyber security threats to fully protect Filipinos and achieve cyber security resilience in the country.
DND officer-in-charge Senior Undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr. said the initiative is also part of the defense department’s efforts to make sure that the country and the Filipino people would be safe from all “traditional and non-traditional threats” as well as defending the Philippine sovereignty and territory.
“We attain cyber resiliency by proactively addressing emerging cyber threats, as well as scaling up and optimizing the use of information and communication technology,” Faustino said.
He added that the DND has been providing significant contributions to the government’s efforts against emerging cyber threats.
Faustino also stressed the need for the DND to protect the country’s cognitive domains and take an active part in various initiatives that promote nation-building by pushing social and economic development.
