Honest teen returns P70K

SUBIC TOWN, ZAMBALES — A teenager recently returned a bag full of valuables including P70,000 worth of cash to the owner in this town.

According to Subic Municipal Police Station chief Police Major Mark Louie Sigua, the 19-year-old teener identified as Arjay Piletina surrendere­d a black bag to the said police station that contained assorted identifica­tion cards, keys, ATM cards, and P70,000 cash.

Piletina, a resident of Barangay WaWandue, was on his way to take his nephew to the hospital when he chanced upon the black bag. Sigua informed the owner of the bag, who expressed his gratitude to Piletina for returning his belongings to him.

Piletina lauded the honesty of Sigua, citing that it was right for him to surrender the belongings to the police. The police official cited that Sigua is a model citizen that other youngsters should follow.
