Las Piñas acquires 2 new rescue trucks
Las Piñas City equipped the team of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office with two new rescue trucks for use during calamities and accidents.
The new set of rescue vehicles, Mayor Imelda Aguilar said was acquired by the city government that includes a preemptive evacuation truck and a rescue truck.
The mayor said the preemptive evacuation truck will be used by the DRRMO team in moving people to safety during floods and other disasters.
She said the fully equipped rescue truck will be used during vehicular accidents or fires.
On 14 November, Aguilar said the blessing of the new trucks was held at the City Hall grounds .
The lady mayor said Fr. Eric Salazar of Our Lady of Fatima Parish Philam officiated in the blessing of the new trucks.
She was joined by her daughter, Vice-Mayor April Aguilar, and other department heads during the blessing.
