Comelec, partners ready election summit

The commission on elections said Thursday it is partnering with 14 stakeholders for the conduct of the three-day National election summit in January.

The poll body has conducted focus group discussions with academic and professional institutions, civic society organizations and election advocacy groups, which led to Wednesday’s forging of partnership, comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said.

The election summit bearing the theme “Pagtutulungan sa Makabagong Halalan” seeks to set a participatory discussion on issues and possible solutions to the digital transformation of the country’s election system.
