Autopsy of arrested woman ordered
A report reaching Navotas City police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging said Palomar suffered from hyperthyroidism and polycystic ovary syndrome, a hormonal disorder.
The body of a woman taken into police custody this week would be subjected to an autopsy following her death Friday while under hospital confinement in Manila.
Arrested last Tuesday was 33-year-old Vangie Palomar and she was subsequently brought to the Navota s City Hospital in the evening of the same day after complaining of difficulty breathing.
Palomar was nabbed for an illegal drugs case. Her attending doctors recommended she be transferred to the Tondo Medical Center.
At around 5:40 a.m. on Friday, her doctor at the Tondo hospital said she already passed away.
