Thousands take final Bar exams
Thousands trooped to 14 testing centers nationwide for the final day of the 2022 Bar examinations Sunday.
Streets leading to and near San Beda University, one of the testing centers, were closed to all types of vehicles, including the corner of Mendiola and Legarda Streets, as well as Concepcion-Aguila Street which remained open only to residents.
Despite calls for postponement of the Bar examinations due to the severe tropical storm “Paeng,” the Supreme Court decided to push through the Bar exams as scheduled.
To allay possible cheating attempts, the Supreme Court assured that exam questions were done randomly so takers would get different sets of questions.
Exam takers on Sunday were set to face questions on Remedial Law and Legal Ethics.
The morning period covered the examinations for Remedial Law 1, while the afternoon session covered Remedial Law 2 with basic tax remedies and legal ethics.
On the first day of the examinations last 9 November, 9,207 out of 10,006 applicants took and completed both tests.
Supreme Court Associate Justice and 2022 Bar Examinations committee chairperson Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa monitored the exams from the Command Center in Metro Manila. He also visited nearby testing sites.
During the inspection, Caguioa was joined by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F. Leonen, Justice Ramon Paul L. Hernando, Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier, Justice Rodil V. Zalameda, Justice Mario V. Lopez, Justice Samuel H. Gaerlan, Justice Jose Midas P. Marquez, and Justice Maria Filomena D. Singh, all of whom visited the testing center in Ateneo de Manila University; and Justice Antonio T. Kho, Jr. and Justice Japar B. Dimaampao, who, along with Justice Lopez, inspected the San Beda University testing center.
Justice Dimaampao likewise visited the De La Salle University and Manila Adventist College testing centers.
CSC hails Bar exams
The digitalization and regionalized conduct of the 2022 Bar examinations have been recognized by the Civil Service Commission.
