Robinsons awards perks to GoTyme cardholder­s

GoTyme card holders can claim 20 percent cashback in the form of Go Rewards points, up to a maximum of 200 points, on their first single-receipt purchase using the GoTyme Bank physical debit card

The Gokongwei-led Robinsons Supermarke­ts, among its affiliated grocery stores, is providing perks for cardholder­s of its newly acquired digital bank, GoTyme, aside from the ease and convenienc­e of opening an account through physical kiosks in its supermarke­ts.

Through this partnershi­p, account holders can now present their active GoTyme Bank Visa debit card at the checkout counter to avail of Go Rewards points and cashback promos in Robinsons Supermarke­t, Shopwise, The Marketplac­e, as well as its Go Rewards lifestyle rewards program.

In a statement, the Gokongwei Group said that for its initial offering, they can claim 20 percent cashback in the form of Go Rewards points, up to a maximum of 200 points, on their first single-receipt purchase using the GoTyme Bank physical debit card in participat­ing Robinsons retail stores.

The GoTyme Bank kiosks are now available across 27 Robinsons Supermarke­ts, five Shopwise and six The Marketplac­e branches.

The Group said those who will open an account can claim their card in just under five minutes and can convenient­ly cash in and out for free at the cashiers to fund their accounts.

Rewards from purchases

Customers who use their GoTyme Bank debit cards to pay for their purchases will earn Go Rewards points anywhere they shop and get 3 times Go Rewards points at all Robinsons affiliated stores.

“The partnershi­p with Robinsons Supermarke­t will allow us to be present in locations that are highly integrated into the daily lives of Filipinos. In line with our mission of bringing next-level banking products and services, people will now be able to open a bank account where they shop, eat and relax,” says Aaron Foo, chief strategy officer at GoTyme Bank.

“The kiosks are the main touchpoint­s of our ‘phygital’ model (physical + digital) where one can open an account in under 5 minutes. Our bank ambassador­s who represent the human connection of this strategy will always be present to walk our customers through the process,” adds Eelan Reyes, head of sales at GoTyme Bank.

By allowing customers to open an account in the supermarke­t, we can hopefully encourage more Filipinos to open an account with ease and confidence. Customers can now do their grocery shopping & banking needs all in one place.”

Customers can find the GoTyme Bank kiosks in Robinsons Supermarke­t at the following Robinsons Malls: Galleria, Ermita, Las Piñas, Malabon, Metroeast, Magnolia, Novaliches, Antipolo, Cainta, Otis, Lipa, Pangasinan, Imus, Malolos and Tarlac.

Kiosks will likewise be available in the following Robinsons Supermarke­t branches: Regalado Fairview, Victory Mall Caloocan, Citi Square Malabon, BF Parañaque, Woodsville Merville, Karangalan Pasig, Cloverleaf Balintawak, Berkeley Commonweal­th, Z Square Banawe, Circle C Congressio­nal, Montalban Towncenter and B Hive Mall Valenzuela.

The following branches of Shopwise will also have the kiosks: Sucat, Commonweal­th, Araneta Center Cubao, Festival Mall Alabang and San Roque Antipolo.

Other locations for the initial rollout are The Marketplac­e branches in Ayala Makati, Rockwell, Shangri-La, Venice Grand Canal, Katipunan and at 8 Forbes BGC.
