5,000 get P3,000 cash aid from DSWD

TARLAC CITY — More than 5,000 people from Pampanga and Tarlac have received P3,000 cash aid under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Senator Imee Marcos distributed the financial assistance, plus nutribun and toys for children, to 3,833 beneficiaries from Tarlac and 2,000 from Pampanga.

The recipients included farmers, barangay health workers, day care center workers, senior citizens, persons with disability and victims of the recent typhoon.

Marcos said the priority of the AICS program is to provide help to farmers who lost their crops to bad weather and residents whose home have been destroyed or damaged by typhoon.
