ACG ops sweep cybercrimes

The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group disclosed that it has initiated 15 police operations from 14 to 20 November which resulted to the arrest of a number of wanted cybercriminals.

The operations include six Entrapment Operations; eight Service of Warrant of Arrest; and one implementation of Warrant to Search, Seize and Examine Computer Data.

During entrapment operations, seven individuals were arrested while a total of 10 individuals were apprehended after being served their respective warrants of arrest.

The ACG has also documented 16 implementations of Cyber Warrants, conducted 66 Digital Forensic Examinations and filed 35 cases before the court.

In the ACG’s effort to raise the Cyber Awareness Campaign, it has posted 377 social media Cards, conducted 54 lectures and dialogues, and carried out 23 radio and TV interviews for the week.
