ENDEAVOR UNVEILS THE PHILIPPINES MULTIPLIER MAP

Entrepreneurs and trailblazers invest expertise and knowledge to create a multiplier effect and transform entrepreneurship

- BY MATTHEW PIrANTE PErEz

The map shows how Endeavor Entrepreneurs have reshaped the enterprise ecosystem since the community was established in 2014.

So far, they have generated over P30 billion in revenues in 2022 alone, and have created 30,000 jobs. Endeavor Entrepreneurs are committed to guiding and motivating the next generation by reinvesting profits, expertise, and creating that multiplier effect by mentoring others to pay it forward.

“The Philippine entrepreneurial ecosystem is at an inflection point, with more companies launching than ever before, more venture capital firms setting up, and more capital flowing into the Philippines. With the growth of the ecosystem, we’ve also witnessed the emergence of high-impact entrepreneurs, those who inspire, mentor, and invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs, thereby unleashing a farreaching multiplier effect,” says Manny Ayala, Endeavor Philippines managing director.

BIG BUBBLES

Companies that have had a measurably large multiplier effect in their ecosystem are called Big Bubbles and serve as key mentors, investors, and advisers to early-stage companies both locally and abroad. Among them are Nix Nolledo, ron Hose, CEO of coins.ph; richard Eldridge, co-founder of Lenddo, and Paul rivera, co-founder and CEO of Kalibrr.

The next generation Endeavor Entrepreneurs who are poised to be the next big bubbles in the country’s startup ecosystem include roland ros, and rexy Dorado, co-founders of Kumi, and Steve Sy, CEO of Great Deals E-commerce Corp.

Aspiring businessmen may get a shot at being mentored depending on their ideas and more importantly, its timing. Broad strokes can be developed and finessed by mentors into something worthy of venture capital. This could take at least one year and six months but mentors keep in touch and encourages others to keep working on their business ideas.

ABOUT THE DATA

“Endeavor Philippines worked with Endeavor Insight, the research division that provides data-driven analysis and visualization showing what makes entrepreneurial ecosystems thrive, to visualize the Multiplier Effect in the Philippines. The findings are based on more than 70 interviews with Philippine tech founders conducted from June 2022 to August 2022. The data collected was then analyzed using econometric and social network methodologies utilized in previous Endeavor Insight research to create the report.”
