Early Christmas for Parañaque gov’t workers

- ALVIN MURCIA

An early 13th month pay was given to the employees of the Parañaque City Government as early as Tuesday, 22 November, in line with Mayor Eric L. Olivarez’s pledge to help ease workers’ difficulties arising from the current economic downturn.

The 13th month pay, equivalent to one month’s full salary, is part of the financial windfall that Parañaque City employees are set to receive during the Christmas season.

“We are happy to announce that we have started crediting the 13th month pay of our regular and casual employees to their bank accounts,” Olivarez said. “This should help assure them and their families of a happy Christmas season.”

Aside from the 13th month pay, all City Government personnel, including job order employees, will also receive a cash gift of P5,000 starting the first week of December. This is the first time that job order employees are getting a P5,000 cash gift.
