The Human Settlements and Adjudication Commission has tapped UnionBank of the Philippines for more convenient and hassle-free transactions system.

HSAC Executive Commissioner Melzar Galicia said embracing digitalization will step up their services to the people, making it more advanced.

“It’s not all about our operations, it’s all about providing convenience to clients that they will no longer need to go to HSAC offices for cash payment. We aim that our clients will experience seamless transactions following this signing of the agreement,” Galicia said, partly in Filipino, at the sidelines of the MoA signing in Quezon City.

Galicia said this new online service of the HSAC through UnionBank’s UPay platform will allow clients to “pay anywhere at their convenient times.”

“We are pushing to ease the burden of our payors. It’s not really to benefit us but continue delivering efficient services to our clients,” he added.

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said the partnership of HSAC and UnionBank to push digitalization will open more opportunities to effectively and efficiently deliver basic services to the people.

“In indeed, you have repeatedly shown that it is possible for the government agencies and the private sector to collaborate together in order to deliver public services in a bigger, more comprehensive, and efficiently,” he said.

Under the signed agreement, HSAC is set to introduce electronic remittances via UPay — wherein several payment methods are consolidated and fall under a single integration point for collection needs.

Clients can now transact payment directly on HSAC’s website.
