Scholarship aid pivotal to insurgent-free status
NABUNTURAN, Davao de Oro — The provincial government here stressed the need need for educational scholarships in its geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas to sustain the peace efforts.
Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga said that they have revised the scholarship program of the province making sure that slots will be given to students in GIDAs and former rebels or their family members.
“For the FRs or we call them ‘friends rescued’, they can avail of the scholarship. It is also made available for their families or relatives,” Gonzaga.
