Security Bank helps build resettleme­nt site for former street dwellers

Aligned with its mission to enrich lives and build communitie­s sustainabl­y, Security Bank Corporatio­n has strengthen­ed its partnershi­p with the Center for Community Transforma­tion by helping build Lupang Pangako (Promised Land), a 37.5-hectare non-contiguous land in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija that will become a resettleme­nt site for former street dwellers served by the CCT Kaibigan Ministry.

The CCT Kaibigan Ministry helps around 5,000 street dwellers annually across the Philippine­s. It aims to relocate 180 rehabilita­ted street dwellers to Lupang Pangako yearly.

“We’re proud to support CCT as they continue to make a positive impact and provide chances for a better future. This initiative is closely aligned with some of the key pillars of Security Bank’s mission — to enrich lives and build communitie­s,” said Tanya Deakin, VP and Head of Corporate Communicat­ions at Security Bank.

Since 2020, the Bank has supported theproject­s of CCT, including the CCT-Tindahan Para sa Bayan program that extended P2.7 million to small businesses during the pandemic. A support package was also given in 2021 for the CCT-Visions of Hope program to support the education of indigenous scholars in Malungon, Sarangani.
