President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. hosted a luncheon for executives of Philip Morris International Inc. in Malacañang.

In a Facebook post, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos shared a photo of the luncheon with the executives of PMI — one of the leading cigarette manufacturers in the country.

“Lunch with Philip Morris International executives,” the First Lady’s caption read.

PMI CEO Jacek Olcza, PMFTC, Inc. president Denis Gorkun, and Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos were in the photo.

The Office of the Press Secretary has yet to provide details regarding the meeting.

Last Thursday, PMI launched its latest smoke-free product, Bonds by IQOS in the country in a bid to make smoke-free alternatives for Filipino smokers.

The Ilocos, from where the Marcoses hail, is the primary tobacco-producing region in the country.
