MPD nabs female homicide suspect

Operatives of the Manila Police District-PS1 arrested a female homicide suspect on Sunday morning along CP Garcia corner Dandan Street in Tondo, Manila.

MPD-PS1 station commander P/Lt. Col. Rosalino Ibay Jr. identified the suspect as Maria Teresa Nardo, a resident of Tondo, Manila who was arrested based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Albert Tenorio Jr. of RTC Branch 14 dated 31 August 2016.

Base from narration of the suspect,t the incident occurred when his uncle — a cousin of her mother — allegedly went on a drunken rampage early dawn while she and her baby who was sick were sleeping.

The suspect said that an argument ensued between them and when they were threatened by her uncle, a scuffle happened which led her to stab her uncle three times which led to the victim’s demise.

The suspect is detained at MPD-PS1 for the return of warrant to the issuing judge and issuance of commitment order.
