Drug busts continuing

While demand reduction will be the thrust of the Marcos administration’s anti-illegal drugs campaign, throttling the supply of drugs in the country will continue, according to Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos.

on Monday, Abalos said 24,158 drug personalities had been arrested from 1 July to 24 november 2022 under the new administration. For the period, 990 kilograms of drugs had been seized.

About 25,000 people trooped at the Quezon Memorial Circle on Saturday during the launch of the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan or BIDA anti-drugs program of the government.
