TESDA warns vs text scams
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority warned the public against the unauthorized use of the name of the agency to solicit money for its programs and services.
“TESDA learned that unscrupulous individuals using a certain mobile number were able to convince an unsuspecting member of the public to send P25,000 to a GCash account in exchange for TESDA skills training,” said the agency.
Moreover, the agency has already reported this fraudulent transaction with the National Bureau of Investigation, National Telecommunications Commission, and the National Privacy Commission for immediate investigation and proper sanctions.
