Week-long ops net 4 cyber suspects

Four males and three females were arrested during 17 police-initiated operations conducted by the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group starting 21 November.

These operations include five Entrapment Operations; 11 Service of Warrant of Arrest; one technical assistance in the implementation of a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data.

Arrested were Alexis Bachain for Violation of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children);

Cyril Iheanacho Njoku for Art 315 Swindling/Estafa; Christian Pasobillo for Computer Related Identity Theft; Hernanie Fuentes Ayen Jr. for Art 286 (Grave Coercion) all in relation to Sec 6 of RA 10175.

Suspects Rosalina Geronimo, Paulina Geronimo, and Rachelle Luzon were all arrested for Violations of Art 315 (Swindling/Estafa) in relation to Sec 6 of RA 10175.

Eleven (11) Warrants of Arrest were implemented that led to the arrest of a total of 10 more Wanted Persons composed of 8 males and 2 females identified as, Renante Bairo, alias “Eugene Parago” for Simple Robbery; Johan Quirol Saludes a.k.a “Repos Agib,” Jonel Bucayan Saceda a.k.a “Inday,” Josa Osmeña Chiongiban and Alejandro Gloriane Gilana were arrested for Online Libel; Joseph Christopher Labayo Bancual for violation of Access Device Regulation Act; Enrico Versoza Elmido and Fedelito Fabrigaras Pacayra for Grave Threats; and Ronnie Casil Castro for Swindling Estafa all in relation to Sec 6 of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act).

Meanwhile, Rosselle Labasan was arrested for Cyber Libel while Rosselle Labasan was arrested for Violations of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

ACG also documented six implementations of Cyber Warrants, conducted 25 Digital Forensic Examinations, and filed a total of 35 cases before the court.

On the Groups’ effort to raise its Cyber Awareness Campaign, a total of 196 social media Cards were posted, 29 lectures and dialogues were conducted and carried out 28 radio/ tv interviews for the week.
