‘Druggie’ granny falls

A 73-year-old woman was among the individuals arrested during a sting operation conducted by authorities in Barangay Sto. Cristo, City of San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan.

Bulacan Chief of Police P/Lt. Col. Ronaldo Lumactod disclosed that a buy-bust operation was conducted on Monday night against those who are included in the unified Philippine National Police-Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency drugs watch list.

The operation also resulted in the dismantling of drug den and the apprehension of the suspects for Violation of Art II, Sec 5 or selling illegal drugs, Sec 7 or Visiting and maintaining drug den, Sec 11 or the possession of illegal drugs, Sec 12 or the Paraphernalia, Sec 13 which is the pot session and Section 26 or the conspiracy in selling of Republic Act of 9165.

Aside from the septuagenarian, the other suspects arrested were identified as Melinda Barcelon, Elma Klien, Julius Ignacio and Roberto Ignacio.

A plastic sachet containing suspected shabu was also caught in their possession and control.
