The woman left a hotel in Rohini Sector 23 in Sultanpuri at 1:31 a.m. on 1 January on her scooter with another woman based on a CCTV video that surfaced on Tuesday, according to Hindustan Times.

Police said the five in a grey Maruti Suzuki Baleno hit the woman riding the scooty in Sultanpuri and the impact entangled her body to the underside of the car, HT reported.

Her companion escaped harm, reports said.

A witness who saw the woman being dragged in Ladpur village called the police.

The driver of the car reportedly did not stop after hitting the victim out of fear and only realized that the woman was underneath the car when they stopped near Jonti village on Kanjhawla road, News18 reported.
