BoC meets with airline officials

The Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA met with station managers of airlines operating within the port jurisdicti­on and officials from the Airline Operations Council to strengthen their relationsh­ips and exchange informatio­n through informatio­n sharing and collaborat­ion.

Among those in the meeting were BoC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita Talusan, AOC chairman Edgar Allan Nepomuceno, vice chairman Larry Isidro, secretary Krystine Baligod, treasurer Romina Curabo and secretaria­t Girlie Robles.

AOC chairman Nepumuceno noted that the airline-BoC engagement was strong.

Nepumuceno said they started with progressiv­e and meaningful leadership meetings under the Inter-Agency Council for the past years, but this is the best gesture to further participat­ion and foster a better relationsh­ip between the two bodies. “Today we opened a new door to start a deeper friendship and more robust collaborat­ion. We would like to express our deepest appreciati­on to the leadership of District Collector Talusan for this partnershi­p engagement. This is a first for the AOC and the BoC, and we are hoping that we can do more in the future,” Nepomuceno said.

Various airline representa­tives expressed their support for the BoC and promised continuous collaborat­ion.

During the meeting, Talusan stressed the importance of coordinati­on and informatio­n sharing between the BoC and the stakeholde­rs.

Also in attendance were Philippine Airlines president Captain Stanley Ng and vice president Alfred Adriano, Singapore Airlines station manager Chun Boon Au and senior customer service officer Caroline Ann Javier, Gulf Air station manager Isa Alhashimi and duty officer Glaizalin Garcia, STARLUX Airlines station manager Zach Wang and customer service representa­tive Jervin Julian, Royal Air ground operations manager and representa­tive Renan and Jerome del Rosario, Jetstar Japan passenger services department head Pamela David and assistant manager Neilmar Ventanilla, Cathay Pacific station managers Mark Pastrana and Eva Conel, Dubai National Air Travel Agency Representa­tives Jeko, VJ Nadal, and Jojo Palma, Korean Air passenger services managers Maria Teresa Ocampo and Jerwin Miranda;

Japan Airlines flight operations manager Bong Orcajo, Qatar Airways station manager Shan Baby, Scoot PTE LTD. account manager Kristina Deveza, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines duty station manager Emelie Tagalog, Eva Air supervisor Janelle Trinidad, Saudia Airlines senior customer service officer Herbert Jonson, Xiamen air station manager Finn Wu, and China airlines assistant airport manager Lilian Sy, Ethiopian Airlines area manager Mulugeta Zewdu, and PAGSS vice president for passenger and ramp Jennifer Chiong and China Southern Airlines station manager Ian Qin.
