BoC meets with airline officials
The Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA met with station managers of airlines operating within the port jurisdiction and officials from the Airline Operations Council to strengthen their relationships and exchange information through information sharing and collaboration.
Among those in the meeting were BoC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita Talusan, AOC chairman Edgar Allan Nepomuceno, vice chairman Larry Isidro, secretary Krystine Baligod, treasurer Romina Curabo and secretariat Girlie Robles.
AOC chairman Nepumuceno noted that the airline-BoC engagement was strong.
Nepumuceno said they started with progressive and meaningful leadership meetings under the Inter-Agency Council for the past years, but this is the best gesture to further participation and foster a better relationship between the two bodies. “Today we opened a new door to start a deeper friendship and more robust collaboration. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the leadership of District Collector Talusan for this partnership engagement. This is a first for the AOC and the BoC, and we are hoping that we can do more in the future,” Nepomuceno said.
Various airline representatives expressed their support for the BoC and promised continuous collaboration.
During the meeting, Talusan stressed the importance of coordination and information sharing between the BoC and the stakeholders.
