Chery Tiggo displayed its relentless form from start to finish to overwhelm the shocked F2 Logistics, 25-19, 25-14, 25-16, and gain a share of the lead of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference yesterday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Mylene Paat was in her usual dangerous self as she led the unbeaten Crossovers to their third straight win in as many games to tie idle defending champion Creamline on top of the standings.

Smashing winners from every angle and shutting the door on F2 Logistics’ frustrated attackers with an impregnable wall at the net, Chery Tiggo easily sent its unusually sluggish rival to its first loss in three games.

Paat displayed another Most Valuable Player performance as she finished with game-high 22 points she collected off 20 attacks, one kill and one ace for the Crossovers.

Chery Tiggo head coach Aaron Velez credited the whole team for its collective effort from scouting to perfect game plan execution.

“We know for a fact that F2 is not an easy team. They also had a two-game winning streak. It’s really overwhelming and I’m very thankful,” Velez, the architect of the Crossovers’ first title in the PVL in 202, said.

“And of course, to the coaching staff for their support and information. It was really a perfect collaboration from all members ng team.”

Shaya Adorador, who saw limited action in Chery Tiggo’s win over Philippine Army, reintroduced herself with 13 points — all from the attack zone — laced with six excellent receptions.

EJ Laure got 12 points and 15 digs while Cza Carandang got 10 for the Crossovers, who outgunned the Cargo Movers on spikes, 54-20.

Alina Bicar had an efficient ball distribution as she tallied 20 excellent sets for Chery Tiggo.

The Crossovers zapped the energy out of the Cargo Movers with a huge 12-2 blast in the second set that opened a 20-8 separation on their way to a lopsided frame win.

F2 Logistics did show a sliver of resistance in the third set keeping the game close, 9-10, only to see Chery Tiggo step on the gas once again to zoom to a 21-13 advantage off a Laure ace.

No F2 Logistics player finished in double figures with Myla Pablo dropping just nine points while Aby Marano and Majoy Baron got six each.

Main scorer Kim Kianna Dy was limited to just one point in two sets of action for the Cargo Movers, who will face the Cool Smashers on Saturday at the same venue.
