Green, inclusive properties feted at FIABCI Awards
The Prix d’ Excellence, dubbed as the ‘Oscars of Real Estate,’ recognizes properties that best embody excellence in all real estate disciplines.
The Property and Real estate excellence awards in Manila has named the outstanding properties vying for the international Prix d’ excellence competition. organized by the international Real estate Federation or FiaBci (Fédération internationale des administrateurs de Bien-conselis immobiliers), the Prix d’ excellence, dubbed as the “oscars of Real estate,” recognizes properties that best embody excellence in all real estate disciplines.
Of the top 22 properties recognized, 12 won gold and 10 won silver.
Filinvest ReiT corp. board chairperson and Filinvest alabang inc. director, president and chief executive officer lourdes Josephine gotianun-yap was named Property Woman of the year and Robinsons land corp. as Developer of the year. gotianun-yap’s Filinvest ReiT corp. and Filinvest alabang inc. got three golds and a silver in the sustainable development and industrial categories.

Silver winners are Seafront Residences of Aboitiz Land Inc. for the environment category, Calatagan South Beach of Landco Pacific Corp. for the masterplan, One Paseo of Megaworld Corp. for the office, the Sto. Tomas Health Facility of the local government of Sto. Tomas, Pampanga for the public infrastructure, the Avida Towers Aspira of Avida Land Inc. and Sapphire Bloc of Robinsons Land Corp. for the high-rise residential, the Serin East Tagaytay of Avida Land Corp. for the medium rise, the Villages at Lipa of Aboitiz Land Inc. for the low rise, the Bacolod-Murcia Milling Company Train of Megaworld Corporation for the purpose-built or specialized and the Filinvest Axis Tower One of the Filinvest REIT Corp. for the sustainable development.
Special envoy Dr. Reghis M. Romero II, chairman of FIABCIPhilippines, presented the awards with FIABCI-World president-elect Budiarsa Sastrawinata and FIABCIPhl president Architect Nestor S. Mangio.
FIABCI international consists of 48 national and multinational chapters, 120 professional associations, 95 public and private academic institutions, with over 2,300 regular members and around a million associate members in more than 70 countries across the globe.
Smart cities on the rise
According to Romero, the emerging global trend of smart green cities is inevitable.
“The trend is evidently highlighted even in the Philippines by the rising number of self-contained township projects that have been winning
our excellence awards and has been underscored in the preceding International Business and Economic Forum by the keynote presentation of FIABCI-World president-elect Budiarsa Sastrawinata,” Romero said.
The said smart green cities should address mobility, climate change, digital transformation, energy resilience and social inclusion.
“Put together such issues require self-contained and self-sufficient urban communities that are walkable or bikable but with their own transport terminals and have fast and easy access to employment centers and basic services, such as schools, hospitals, churches, government offices and malls, among others, which can be within the properties’ premises themselves,” Romero said.
