COCO, IVANA GIVE BEHIND-THE-SCENES LOOK AT ‘FPJ’S BATANG QUIAPO’ STUNTS

Primetime King Coco Martin and ivana Alawi’s tandem in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo have sent fans into a frenzy after ABS-CBN dropped a six-minute special trailer featuring more of their adrenaline-pumping action sequences. the trailer hit one million views in 24 hours. the action-comedy series gave a glimpse of its fresh fight scenes as it topped its competitor in the national tV ratings for primetime tV with 24.4 percent on 6 November, covering urban and rural homes, according to data from Kantar Media.

Martin, one of the directors, producers and actors of the series, also treated viewers to a behind-the-scenes sneak peek while he was shooting some of the scenes featured in the special trailer. in the video, Martin is seen meticulous­ly guiding his co-actors, stunt and camera directors, and giving instructio­ns to Alawi on how to execute their action scenes.

Viewers can look forward to the coming episodes of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, dubbed as the “quantum event” where major characters will finally cross paths in highly emotional encounters, among them the intense face-offs between Ramon and Rigor (Christophe­r De Leon and John estrada); tanggol, Chief espinas (Coco and Jaclyn Jose) and Rigor; the police chase involving tanggol and Bubbles (ivana); as well as the heartwrenc­hing confrontat­ion scene of tindeng and Mokang (Charo Santos and Lovi Poe).

Don’t miss the actionpack­ed scenes in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which is inspired by the original story of Regal Films, on weeknights at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, tV5, iWanttFC, and Kapamilya online Live on ABS-CBN entertainm­ent’s youtube channel and Facebook page.
