Grab celebrates ‘Buwan ng Tagapaghatid 2023’
The Philippines’ leading superapp reaffirms its commitment to partner welfare and empowerment while introducing new initiatives benefitting its driver-and-delivery partners in recognition of their exceptional service
With this year’s celebration of Grab Philippines’ “Buwan ng Tagapaghatid,” the Philippines’ leading superapp and key driving force in the economy, acknowledges and strongly reinforces its dedication to the welfare of its esteemed driver- and deliverypartners.
This annual event serves as a tribute to the indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication of independent Grab partners, the heroes at the forefront of delivering the superapp's safe, reliable, and convenient services to passengers and consumers.
MagPasa-Salamat: Gratitude in a Single Tap During this Buwan ng Tagapaghatid, Grab extends an invitation to its superapp users to express their appreciation and gratitude for the tireless efforts and top-notch service of Grab driver- and delivery-partners.
Under the MagPasa-Salamat Campaign, Filipino consumers and passengers can make an enormous difference with just a few taps, such as:
• Tipping: A Thank You for Stellar Service
Tipping, a universal gesture of gratitude and acknowledgment of a job well done, is seamlessly integrated within the Grab app.
All tips given by consumers and passengers go 100 percent directly to the partners. Users can contribute their chosen tip amount and personalized feedback for the driver or rider.
This Buwan ng Tagapaghatid, Grab enhances the tipping experience with Tip Matching. Through this initiative, Grab matches every tip given by consumers and passengers— doubling the tips received by its partners.
The inaugural Tip Matching event occurred on 12 November, 2023, which recorded a 36 percent increase in total tips received by partners versus the average total daily tips.
Grab app users are encouraged to mark their calendars for the upcoming Tip Matching Day on 26 November.
•Rating: A Thank-You in Five Stars
The Grab platform prides itself on a range of feedback mechanisms designed to propel continuous service enhancement for both the superapp and its partners.
App users are encouraged to consistently rate their experience with a driver or delivery-partner together with their own comments. Grab and its partner communities eagerly anticipate comments and feedback — whether acknowledging service excellence or suggesting improvements.
• Food For Your Driver: A Thank-You in a Delivery Bag Another innovative feature of the Grab app is the “Food For Your Driver” option on GrabFood. This unique feature enables consumers not only to order meals for themselves but also to treat their drivers to food from the same restaurant.
Renowned food chains such as Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Baliwag Lechon Manok, and more have embraced the “Food For Your Driver” feature in their GrabFood store.
As part of the Buwan ng Tagapaghatid celebration, Seattle’s Best is generously providing Grab delivery-partners with a complimentary large Iced White Chocolate Mocha for every order exceeding the minimum value of P750 from 13 to 20 November.
Additionally, until the end of November, Kenny Rogers is extending the consumer’s gratitude by offering a free Coke in a can for delivery-partners following a specific minimum order value on GrabFood.
GrabAsenso: Safeguarding driver welfare
In anticipation of Buwan ng Tagapaghatid 2023, Grab unveiled its GrabAsenso campaign — a comprehensive initiative focused on driving sustainable growth and advancement across five critical pillars. At its core, GrabAsenso strives to create meaningful livelihood opportunities.
To fortify the economic viability of Grab’s platform, GrabAsenso implements a competitive earnings model, incentive scheme, and robust insurance policies for driver- and delivery-partners.
Collaborating with social protection agencies like SSS and Pag-IBIG, Grab ensures that crucial social welfare and protection programs are easily accessible to its partners, with agency booths stationed at Grab's Partner Center in Marikina, exemplifying the proactive engagement of these agencies with the vast Grab driver fleet.
Micro-financing products
In a bid to bolster livelihood sustainability and promote financial inclusivity, Grab offers micro-financing products that can be easily availed and accessed by partners.
Furthermore, strategic partnerships with ancillary businesses within the mobility industry, including fuel and automotive maintenance companies, provide exclusive and cost-effective deals to its partners which effectively reduce their day-to-day operational expenses.
This November, Grab joined forces with Seaoil, Caltex and Shell to offer additional deals exclusive for Grab driver- and deliverypartners in select branches in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo — transforming them into Buwan ng Tagapaghatid Pit Stops.
These key locations will offer Grab partners enticing fuel and gear oil discounts, engaging games, and the chance to win exciting prizes.
Commitment to partners’ welfare and empowerment
Grab Philippines chief operating officer Ronald Roda shares, “Our undiluted commitment to our partners’ welfare and empowerment is key to the continued dynamism and vitality of the Grab ecosystem. Our success hinges not only on cuttingedge technology, but on the equitable partnership between the platform and its partners.”
“We continuously strive to nurture a robust marketplace — efficiently connecting consumers with the goods and services they need, delivered by partners committed to excellence. Our commitment to our partners’ empowerment is vividly reflected through practical initiatives and programs, assuring them of the better future they aspire to build with us,” he said.
“Maligayang Buwan ng Tagapaghatid sa bawat kuya at ate Grab na patuloy nangangarap at naghahanap-buhay arawaraw. Saludo po kami sa inyo,” added Roda. (Happy Carrier Month to every Grab brother and sister who continue to dream and earn a living every day. We salute you.)
